In the coming weeks, FCM’s Green Municipal Fund will be getting a new website: GreenMunicipalFund.ca, to better serve the sustainability needs of municipalities across Canada.
The new site will offer easy ways for municipalities and their partners to find funding that may be applicable to their sustainability projects, connect with experts and like-minded peers, and access a wealth of resources to grow and expand their knowledge. The new site is meant to compliment FCM.ca and enhance the experience for users looking for material related to FCM’s Green Municipal Fund.
The sites new features are to include:
- A ‘Funding Opportunity Finder’ tool which will help visitors receive personalized recommendations for potentially compatible funding opportunities and connect with GMF to confirm their eligibility
- A Learning Centre that spotlights training and resources created by our Capacity Development team
- Improved resource and funding libraries that are tailored to GMF’s content
- A new case study section that will allow municipalities to find sustainability projects like theirs
Below are a few details relating to the new site’s relationship with FCM.ca:
- FCM.ca will still be “home base” for FCM members. The new site is meant to augment the experience for users looking for GMF content, and not replace the current site.
- Users will be able to access the new site by clicking on any pages currently associated with the Green Municipal Fund. These pages will redirect to the new site and open in a new tab.
- The layout of FCM.ca will remain the same, save for a few calls-to-action on our funding and resource libraries encouraging users looking for sustainability content to explore the new site.
Green Municipal Fund
