Canadian Municipal Network on Crime Prevention
The Canadian Municipal Network on Crime Prevention brings together Canadian municipalities to build capacity and mobilize municipalities to prevent and reduce crime. The network also fosters community safety and well-being through by sharing and developing knowledge and expertise.
The goal of the network is to complement the efforts of police services and the criminal justice system by offering a broader concept of community safety and well-being that includes a variety of preventative measures and greater public engagement. Members can access data from evidence-based crime prevention programs and practices, support from community safety specialists mentoring, workshops, national and regional meetings. CMNCP offers a catalogue of action briefs, which provide easy access to evidence on crime prevention and suggested community safety solutions.
