Infrastructure investments are a proven and effective way to drive economic stimulus and improve people’s quality of life. That makes it a vital tool in Canada’s recovery efforts. For rural communities with diverse geographies, economies and demographics, infrastructure presents both unique challenges and opportunities—whether it’s investing in roads and bridges, water and wastewater, rural busses or digital infrastructure. This session will examine what we’ve learned about rural infrastructure from past experience, and we’ll look at how rural leaders are tackling emerging infrastructure challenges head-on to help build a stronger, more inclusive and resilient recovery.
