Community Infrastructure Partnership Project

Participating Communities

Under the umbrella of FCM’s Community Infrastructure Partnership Project (CIPP), municipalities work with adjacent First Nation communities to address common challenges or issues. Funded by Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada through the First Nations Waste Management Initiative, the project will provide participants with facilitation, tools and capacity building services to develop solid waste service agreements. Participating communities selected for this initiative include:

  • Onigaming First Nation and Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls Township, ON
  • Constance Lake First Nation and the Town of Hearst, ON
  • Alderville First Nation and the Northumberland County, ON
  • Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve, Henvey Inlet First Nation and the Municipality of Killarney, ON
  • Beardy’s and Okemasis First Nation, the Rural municipality of Duck Lake No. 463, the Town of Waldheim and the Town of Rosthern, SK
  • Huu-ay-aht First Nation and the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District, BC
