Two types of funding are available:

  • Core consultation capacity funding: helps First Nations and Métis communities consult and engage with governments and the private sector on land and resource matters.

Provides funding to capitalize community-owned business development opportunities. The grants offer direct investment into eligible Indigenous community-owned businesses for capital projects.

Government of Alberta — Ministry of Indigenous Relations

This program grants funding to support Indigenous communities, businesses and organizations to promote and foster economic development. Funding can be used for a variety of purposes, including hosting economic development workshops, developing feasibility studies and business plans.
