Municipalities from across Canada gather in Ottawa for FCM’s Annual Conference (01/06/2017)

More than 1,900 mayors, councillors and other municipal representatives from across Canada are gathering in the nation's capital from June 1-4 for the Federation of Canadians Municipalities' (FCM) Annual Conference.

As Canada celebrates 150 years of Confederation and reflects upon the challenges and opportunities that got us here, local governments are also taking on the role of shaping Canada's future. This conference will focus on the challenges cities and communities will tackle - from spurring economic growth to fighting climate change.

On top of participating in engaging workshops, delegates will also have the chance to hear and engage with senior cabinet ministers and many party leaders. The highlight of the political keynotes will be an address by the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, at the opening of the conference.
