Performance measurement is a key step in successfully implementing any sustainability plan. Results must be tracked and analyzed to determine whether objectives are being met. This can be a challenging process, particularly when the plan applies to an entire community and cross-cuts multiple sectors. To meet this challenge, municipalities are developing innovative ways of tracking progress towards their sustainable community plan goals and objectives.

This webinar will highlight performance measurement approaches in small and large communities. Speakers will offer concrete examples of how municipalities can manage, analyze and report on relevant data. Representatives from the Fraser Basin Council will share knowledge and lessons learned from over a decade of experience in sustainability performance measurement. We recommend the Council's Measuring & Reporting on Sustainability: A Report on Lessons Learned as pre-webinar reading.
