Webinar: Municipal Energy Efficiency and GHG Reductions with AQME and the City of Châteauguay

Wednesday, September 12, 2012

(Delivered in French)

Session summary

Are you a municipal staff member or elected official in Quebec who needs help with an energy efficiency project? Would you like to learn more about a city that implemented a cost-effective municipal service to produce renewable energy for an integrated neighbourhood project?

The Association québécoise pour la maîtrise de l'énergie (AQME — the Québec Association for Energy Management) will present its free, independent, Services pour le monde municipal (municipal technical support program), which supports the decision-making process for implementing municipal energy efficiency and GHG reduction initiatives.

AQME will also introduce its trousse à outil en efficacité énergétique, a practical municipal toolkit and reference manual for energy efficiency and GHG reduction in a municipal setting, and a portal for best practices, assistance and subsidy programs, relevant training and reference documents.

The City of Châteauguay will discuss its Écoquartier project (eco-district project) and explain how it implemented a municipal service to produce renewable energy. This project received support from FCM's Green Municipal Fund.
