Session summary

Globally, approximately 16% of energy consumed comes from renewable sources. The technologies used, and policies to foster their uptake, continue to gain traction as viable components of the energy mix.

This webinar introduces some of the renewable energy sources and technologies available in the Canadian landscape for heating and cooling and power generation. These include biomass, geothermal heat pumps and solar energy. The webinar discusses the realization of renewables in the municipal context as well as the potential challenges in their application
