Webinar: Measuring Progress Toward Climate Protection
Wednesday, April 14, 2010
You can't manage what you don't measure - it's the foundation for any climate change or community energy strategy.
This webinar will focus on applying ICLEI's International Emissions Analysis Protocol to the development of a greenhouse gas (GHG) and energy inventory (milestone one) for corporate operations and the community, and will be of particular interest to municipalities in the Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) program
The cities of Fredericton and Vancouver have both recently attained milestone five in the PCP program, as well as their community wide GHG reduction targets. Learn how they reached their targets, the types of actions implemented, and the subsequent results in GHG reductions, energy savings and investment. ICLEI will review the components for monitoring, verifying and reporting on emissions as part of the PCP five-milestone framework along with tools available to enable municipalities to track and report on their progress.
