Two excellent projects and GMF funding opportunities
Friday, April 29, 2011
(Delivered in French)
Municipalities can remediate their abandoned industrial sites and benefit from their prime locations to implement new initiatives. This webinar will present two excellent brownfield remediation and redevelopment projects undertaken by the City of Trois-Rivières, along with funding offered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' Green Municipal FundTM (GMF).
With funding support from GMF, the City of Trois-Rivières remediated a 3.1-hectare contaminated site by the St. Lawrence river to make way for a sought-after residential complex, the Trois-Rivières-sur-Saint-Laurent *. Julien Saint-Laurent, environmental specialist, will also explain how the city used funding from the Climatsol* program to decontaminate an empty site and build a residential community close to downtown and to the Trois-Rivières-sur-Saint-Laurent development.
GMF's Quebec Regional Advisor will present GMF's funding opportunities for brownfields projects, providing great project examples and demonstrating real cost savings.
Learn from this successful community and explore the financing options available to recreate these kinds of success stories in your own backyard!
