CanWILL announces which communities will receive funding as part of its Inclusive Community Initiatives. The project supports women leaders.

This project is part of FCM’s portfolio of gender equality and women in local government initiatives. It is implemented in Benin, Cambodia, Ghana, Sri Lanka, Zambia.
Canadian Women in Local Leadership (CanWILL) is inspired by the Toward Parity Framework. It aims to foster diversity and inclusion on municipal councils so they better reflect the citizens they serve.
FCM awards the Mayor Andrée Boucher Memorial Scholarship annually to two female college or university students deemed to have submitted the best research paper on a topic related to women in politics. The scholarship is named in honour of the late mayor of Quebec City. 
This Knowledge Hub offers resources, tools and best practices to promote gender equality in representation in municipal politics.
